Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Tegis video content-protection platform, the tenant console at app.tegis.io, the delivery gateway, and the Tegis SDKs (together, the “Service”), operated by Tegis (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.

1. The Service

Tegis is a drop-in gateway that protects video delivery: it bot-walls playback, signs and encrypts segments, and applies per-recipient forensic watermarking. The Service is not a hardware digital-rights-management (DRM) system and does not guarantee that an authorized viewer cannot capture content they are entitled to view. It is designed to prevent unauthorized access and to make any leak attributable to a single account.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and API keys, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at security@tegis.io of any suspected unauthorized use. You must provide accurate information and keep it current.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to store, deliver, or protect content that:

• is unlawful in a jurisdiction you operate in or deliver to, or that you lack the rights to distribute;
• depicts or facilitates the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors (CSAM), which results in immediate termination and reporting to the competent authorities;
• infringes the intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights of others;
• violates our acceptable-use requirements or any applicable content-provider policy of our infrastructure sub-processors.

Where you deliver adult content, you are solely responsible for age verification, performer records (including 18 U.S.C. § 2257 where applicable), and consent documentation for all depicted individuals.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you supply. You grant us a limited license to process, cache, encrypt, transcode, and deliver that content solely to provide the Service. We do not sell your content and our sub-processors handle only encrypted bytes on the delivery path.

5. Fees

Paid plans are billed as described at the time of purchase (typically a platform fee plus per-gigabyte delivery). Fees are exclusive of taxes. Late or failed payment may result in suspension after notice.

6. Service levels and changes

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided on an “as available” basis except where a separate written service-level agreement applies. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice for material changes.

7. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or legal risk, with notice where practicable and immediately where required (for example, prohibited content).

8. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The specific venue and dispute-resolution mechanism will be confirmed on legal review.
